Watching the 9/11 film
In the “Path to 9/11” film I learned a lot about what was happening b4 the attack.
For instance, Massoud was telling the government about the the bombings were going ahead. But ignored; amazing. Ignored as in not acted upon.
I guess the idea of first blood here is relevant.
It seems that the upper eschelons were unready to act though their workers were telling them what was happening was because they didnt want to start a war by killing muslims.
Ofcourse, now the climate is that its part of US policy to do exactly that.
An about face, as it were. John O’Neill’s part in the whole thing as a man without any real power to do anything but with real on-the-ground-knowledge is really well brought out.
And I thought knowledge was power.
